Thought partner. Success builder. Trusted advisor.
Chris is the expert that executives turn to with their most difficult business challenges. As a leader of, and advisor to, complex organizations for over fifteen years, he has built start-up organizations with record results, led intricate merger integrations and demanding turnaround operations, and managed multi-million dollar alliances and joint ventures. His experience gives him a real-world perspective on how strategy, organization and process come together to make organizations succeed, and the practical steps leaders need to take to achieve that kind of alignment.
Chris co-founded Sequence Consulting in 2002 to bring his experience to bear on clients’ need for strategy and planning at the customer, operational and implementation levels. Chris has developed a unique consulting philosophy that delivers crystal-clear thinking and actionable solutions for clients. His non-traditional problem solving approach and ability to combine big-picture thinking with real-world execution has helped some of the world's leading organizations achieve remarkable results.
His style combines a relentless pursuit of operational clarity and authentic customer engagement with a genuine sensitivity to the cultural realities of his clients. He is valued as a thought partner and trusted advisor who consistently finds practical solutions.
Chris has worked closely with the leaders of prominent industry-leading corporations like Citi, Bayer and Case New Holland and non-for-profits such as AARP, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Chemical Society. As an advisor, he has helped the largest Association in the world re-revaluate their member experience and build powerful new ways to engage their 40 million members. He has helped one of the world’s leading financial services firms create a new loyalty paradigm for their 200 million customer accounts. He has helped one of the most visible charitable organizations dramatically improve their most mission-critical processes. And he has helped some of the largest scientific and professional societies rethink their whole approach to engaging members online across hundreds of internal groups and regional chapters.
Chris began his career with marchFIRST, a leading global consulting firm helping companies build visionary brands, business models, systems and processes. As a managing executive of the company, Chris was the “go-to guy” entrusted with some of the firm’s most critical transactions and initiatives, including mergers, global alliances and operational interventions. Chris built his reputation at the firm as a thought leader in creating innovative and strategic solutions, serving major clients such as Bristol Myers Squibb, General Cable, Boston Market and Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
He studied for his BA at Shimer College in Chicago and earned his Masters and PhD at Indiana University.
